Factors That Determines Eligibility of an NGO in Applying For A Project

• Turnover
• Certificates

Age: Age of the NGO is one of the key factor which determines the eligibility of an NGO to apply for a project. In most cases, 3 years of age is mandatory.

Experience: An NGO should not gather a little experience in multiple fields, rather it should acquire maximum experience in limited fields.

Turnover: Turnover determines the financial viability of an NGO to run a scheme. A new NGO should not wait for getting grants either from the Govt. or Corporate to increase their turnover, rather it should try to increase the turnover from the very first day of its formation.

Certificates: NITI Aayog is mandatory now. 80G and 12 A is required for applying in various corporate projects while FCRA certificate is required to apply for a foreign grant.

Digitalization: An NGO must have a website where it updates all activities as well as annual report, audit report, project impact etc. Project updates and impacts should also be updated on social media as well.
